Tactical Ability

Learnable Abilities & Arts

You can learn these abilities/arts by ranking up various classes. After learning an ability/art, you can equip up to 2 arts and 4 abilities regardless of current class. Or up to 10 abilities after upgrading the Tactics Academy.

If a character learns multiple of the same Prowess (or similar) ability, these abilities will combine into a stronger version Eg. learning Sword Prowess twice will give you Sword Prowess Lv 2. Learning a third one will bump it to Sword Prowess Lv 3.

Myrmidon

2-star	Sword Prowess	Increases damage dealt to enemies when equipped with a sword.

3-star	Swinging Fury	Perform a consecutive series of axe swings.

Monk

1-star	Trust	When this unit is the active unit or an adjutant: increases the fill rate of the Adjutant Attack Gauge and Adjutant Guard Gauge.
2-star	Faith	Increases the recovery amount of healing magic.
3-star	Heal	Grants the unit Heal, or increases the spell’s potency if already learned.

Mercenary

1-star	Vantage	When HP is at 50% or below: Perfect Guards restore a small amount of the Warrior and Awakening Gauges.
2-star	Sword Prowess	Increases damage dealt to enemies when equipped with a sword.
2-star	Windsweep	Generate a cyclone.
3-star	Mercenary’s Ploy	Increases the critical hit rate of Mercenary, Swordmaster, and Mortal Savant class actions.

Thief

1-star	Dex +2	Increases Dex by 2.
2-star	Sword Prowess	Increases damage dealt to enemies when equipped with a sword.
3-star	Thief’s Wisdom	Adds an element to Thief, Assassin, and Trickster class actions. The element is determined by the active unit.
3-star	Shadowblade	Lash at foes with a dark magic-based sword attack. Deals damage based on Mag.

Armored Knight

2-star	Axe Prowess	Increases damage dealt to enemies when equipped with an axe.
2-star	Lightning Axe	Hurl a lightning-charged axe. Deals damage based on Mag.
3-star	Armored Infantry’s Ploy	Improves physical damage reduction inside areas created by Armor Knight and Fortress Knight class actions.

Cavalier

Brigand

Rank	Ability/Art	Description
1-star	Wild Abandon	Greatly increases damage dealt to enemies, but also greatly increases damage received from them.
2-star	Invigorating Spirit	Temporarily increase Str.
3-star	Warrior’s Wisdom	Gives Brigand and Warrior class actions a chance to produce the Stun Gauge. The more bars in the Class Gauge, the better the chance.

Archer

1-star	Archer’s Wisdom	Increases damage dealt by Archer, Sniper, and Bow Knight class actions in proportion to Dex.
1-star	Spiral Shot	Loose arrows at a wide surrounding area.
2-star	Bow Prowess	Increases damage dealt to enemies when equipped with a bow.
2-star	Break Shot	Send an exploding arrow toward enemies that temporarily reduces their Def.
3-star	Armsthrift	Slows the degrading of weapon durability when using combat arts or magic.
3-star	Point-Blank Volley	Attack a wide forward area with three consecutive shots.

Brawler

1-star	Brawler’s Wisdom	Increases damage to enemy Stun Gauges when using the class actions of Brawlers, Grapplers, and War Masters.
1-star	Dual Devastators	Pummel the enemy with both fists. Deals damage to enemy Stun Gauges.
2-star	Brawling Prowess	Increases damage dealt to enemies when equipped with gauntlets.
2-star	Draining Blow	Absorb a portion of inflicted damage as HP.
3-star	Underdog	Increases damage dealt to an enemy in proportion to how much higher the enemy’s level is.

Mage

1-star	Mag +2	Increases Mag by 2.
1-star	Sagittae	Strike the enemy with magical arrows.
2-star	Reason	Increases damage dealt to enemies when equipped with a tome.
3-star	Mage’s Wisdom	Increases damage dealt by Mage, Warlock, and Gremory class actions. The gauge will deplete more quickly.

1-star	Kinship	Makes it easier for the unit to receive support points during battle.
1-star	Recover	Intermediate light magic. Greatly heals surrounding allies.
2-star	Faith	Increases the recovery amount of healing magic.
3-star	Priest’s Ploy	Increases the recovery amounts of Priest and Bishop class actions.

Swordmaster

1-star	Boost Critical	Increases critical hit rate.
2-star	Provoke	Draws attacks, increasing the frequency that surrounding foes attack the unit.
2-star	Finesse Blade	Strike the surrounding area with blades. Damage dealt will increase with Dex.
3-star	Apex Sword	Increases critical hit damage when equipped with a sword.
3-star	Astra	Perform a series of five slashes while moving swiftly.

2-star	Lethality	Grants a (Dex x 0.25%) chance of instantly defeating non-commander units.
3-star	Assassinate	Slash while charging forward. Has a chance to instantly defeat non-commander units.

Fortress Knight

2-star	Pavise	Grants a (Dex x 0.25%) chance of nullifying damage from enemies equipped with swords, lances, axes, or gauntlets.

3-star	Hunter’s Volley	Attack enemies launched into the air with three consecutive shots. Often yields critical hits.
