Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness

Endings

By
Jarrod Garripoli

You’ve beaten the final boss, so sit back and enjoy the ending. Note that the first person to speak after the scripted Annihilation attack is the ending you will receive, which occurs after the credits (that you can thankfully skip!). If you wish to see the other endings, you’re going to need a bunch of Emotional Destabilizers and Love Potion No. 256s. The former is a level 4 recipe under Compounding that has relatively easy ingredients to gather, but the Love Potions do not.

The recipe for Love Potions lists an item called Lezard’s Flask, which is only attainable through Synthesizing (other than one you get as a quest reward). To do this, you will need an Impurity of 48 or 49 (at least), with Medicine being the result. Of course, within that same range, it’s possible to get Love Potions as one of your items (Impurity of 42 or 43 with Medicine). You will want 20 of each (the max amount) before moving on to the next step.

Whenever you have finishing making the necessary items above, go back to the final save point before the last boss and save your game. The first ending you get will likely be Miki’s, especially if you did all/most of the PAs in the game. Upon reloading the game after being brought to the title screen once you beat the story, you’ll be at the last save point before the final boss. Use your Emotional Destabilizers on the character whose first ending you got and then use all of the Love Potions on another character.

Remember that when Transmogrified Alma uses Annihilation the first time on you, the first character who speaks is the one whose ending you’ll receive. So, you should be able to manipulate the affection if you didn’t use all of your potions. If you’re still getting the same character after using all of the potions, then you’ll need to go back and make more, since you can only carry 20 of each. Note that Relia’s ending is completely separate from everyone else’s, so there is no need to use any potions on her unless you don’t get the ending, but that can be saved for last.
