In most games in the survival genre, there is always some form of fast travel, and Enshrouded is no different. Currently, there are two ways to fast travel: teleport to your flame altars, or the Ancient Spires scattered around the map. Read on to find out exactly how you do this.
Flame Altar Fast Travel - Map Teleport¶
The first method of fast travel/teleport is by placing Flame Altars around the world. Flame Altars are the object you place that allows you to build within the limit it gives you. Each Altar will only cost a mere five stones, but you’ll need to strengthen your Flame Altar to place more Altars around the map. This can be done by collecting the various listed resources that can be viewed by interacting with the Flame Altar, and then selecting “Strengthen Flame”. Each list will get progressively more difficult to complete as you’ll need rarer resources to complete it.
Ancient Spire Fast Travel¶
Ancient Spires are the real fast travel points of the game. There is one in each area, and you’ll need to complete a dungeon full of traps and puzzles (no enemies) to conquer them. A quest from either the Flame Altar or a craftsperson normally precedes these. When you reach the top of the Spire, you’ll unlock numerous points of interest around the immediate area, and you’ll be able to fast travel to these from anywhere in the world except when you’re in the Shroud. As of right now, there are three Ancient Spires which you can find in the following locations:
-
Ancient Spire - Low Meadows
-
Ancient Spire - Springlands
-
Ancient Spire - Revelwood
Deathwarp Fast Travel¶
Although technically a method of fast travel, it’s not recommended due to the loss of items, but if you die, you’ll respawn at the last fast travel or Flame Altar you used, unless you activated a checkpoint normally found near dungeons.
There you have it, a few ways to traverse the map quickly. There aren’t any restrictions on when you can fast travel, simply open your map and select one of the fast travel points. As stated above, you can’t do this when you’re in the Shroud so find the nearest exit out of it before teleporting.
