General Description: **** The Black Mage, were this another RPG, would be one we would highly recommend; in most games, Black Mages are essential to progressing through the game due to their ability to hit most enemies’ elemental weaknesses. The problem with this was touched on in FFX, and noticeable moreso in FFX-2 - if you can apply the element to the weapon, there’s no point; the best physical attackers will surpass the Black Mage’s power, and if you can equip a meager accessory to hit the weakness… You see? That said, the Black Mage can be useful for earlier parts of the game where you don’t have a good Elemental Attacker, but little else.

**Black Magic Lv. 2 - 40 AP - 0 MP Cost:** Cuts the charge time for Black Magic by 30%.
**Black Magic Lv. 3 - 60 AP - 0 MP Cost:** Cuts the charge time for Black Magic by 50%.
