There isn’t a lot to do here, really, unless you forgot the lightning rod calibration back in Chapter 2. See Chapter 2 - Thunder Plains for more on that. In any case, run along south to north and plunder the six easy-to-spot chests in the Thunder Plains, as usual. Now, there is a bit of a specific event regarding Cid. If you picked “Not really” during the Chapter 1 conversation with him, or “You bet I do” in Chapter 1 and then spoke to him again in Chapter 2, you’ll meet with him again. For the former option, he’ll be along the medial portion of the area, whereas he’s near the middle lightning rods in the south half otherwise. Speak with him.
Now, remember those Ronso children you spoke to in the Calm Lands back in Chapter 2? (If you didn’t, you just lost 100% completion.) They’ll be in the northern Thunder Plains now, under the northwestern corner’s overhang. (See that “X” on the minimap?) Speak with them and send them on to wherever you want; it’ll just affect where they appear later on in Chapter 4, and nothing much other than that bit for now. For the record, we sent them to Djose Temple. That’s about it: chests and scenes.
