Elise and her two retainers, Arthur and Effie, will join at the beginning of the battle. They’re going to be pretty underleveled, so except for Elise, pair them up for some stat bonuses and get along with it. Unlike Conquest where this map was basically the bane of almost everyone’s existence, this map is pretty straightforward: defeat every enemy including the boss, your apparently friend Silas. So work your way south towards where Silas is.
The most important thing about this map is that there are two allies sitting here as opponents: Charlotte and Benny . They will use their full range of movement to attack anyone who gets near them, and after that, they are lost forever. So get to it! They will only be recruited if Elise talks to them (she hinted at that before the battle began, if you recall). This can be problematic, because Elise is so fragile and Benny and Charlotte are surrounded by other allies. So make sure as you bring Elise to both sides of the map, you have stronger allies backing her to sweep and block the area once Benny and Charlotte are under your wing. I suggest you move your cursor over them and press A to show their individual range in red so you can plan.
Also, be sure to visit all four of the houses here for rewards! You don’t need to go out of your way to visit them and they give useful rewards.
In addition you have fire orbs and turrets you can make great use of to defend if you so wish. They are great for weakening the enemy from afar. Eventually, once everyone has been recruited and the enemies are cleaned out, you can approach Silas. Kaden or Keaton with Beastbane, or anyone equipped with a Beast Killer lance will make easy mincemeat out of him. Once he is defeated, he will join your party permanently. That’s a lot of units for one chapter! Silas has extremely high stats for when he joins and needs very little TLC to be battle-ready.
