Monster Hunter Generations

Jaggi and Jaggia

By
Vincent Lau

Jaggi on the left, Jaggi on the right

Jaggi and Jaggia are the cohorts of the visibly missing Great Jaggi. Jaggi are males, usually young, and the Jaggia are the much larger females. Only Jaggi have a chance at growing into a larger Great Jaggi. I guess none of them have achieved dominance which would explain why Great Jaggi isn’t in this game. Either that or they were hunted to extinction in the previous installments after years and years of being cannon fodder. Jaggi, being small, will nip at you, do 360 tail whips, and attempt to pounce at you. In addition to all of Jaggi’s attacks, Jaggia can also do a large range hipcheck which does more damage and can send you flying.
