Monster Hunter Generations

2-star Kokoto Quests

By

2-star Kokoto Requests

This quest tier has several quest chains that are basically long chains of Village Requests that you get by talking to various people. This section will deal with 2* Quests you can obtain by talking to various NPCs in Kokoto Village . Be aware that, since these are chains, some of the later quests won’t show up until the earlier ones are completed.

A few of these quests, if completed, will also unlock quests and quest chains in later tiers, so be sure you go ahead and clear all of these quests! You’ll get lots of Resource Points as well.

Slay the Velociprey!

Objective: Slay 10 Velociprey

Location: Verdant Hills

Subquest: None

Notes: Talk to the Kokoto Chief for this quest. This takes place in a new area, Verdant Hills . Try areas 2 and 3 for starters. Completion of this quest unlocks Slay the Velocidrome!

Hunt Down the Velocidrome!

Objective: Hunt a Velocidrome

Location: Verdant Hills

Subquest: Slay 5 Velociprey

Notes: You must complete “Slay the Velociprey!” for this quest to unlock. Velocidrome, obviously, is in the same family as Gendrome, except this time you’re going to Verdant Hills. Area 5 is where you will be introduced to his almighty fierceness (not really).

Completion of the quest unlocks Bullfango Tango, Prime Premium Sashimi and Verdant Hills Accounting . You will also unlock the Hunting Armor and Hunting S Armor sets for hunters. For the Palicos, you unlock F Hunting Knife, F Hunting Knife S, F Hunting Armor, and F Hunting Armor S.

Bullfango Tango

Objective: Slay 10 Bullfango

Location: Verdant Hills

Subquest: Wound Velocidrome’s head

Notes: Check out areas 1, 2, 3, and 4 for some Bullfango to tango. The environment is unstable (meaning Velocidrome might show up as a guest monster, uninvited), but break Velocidrome’s crest and you’ll be well rewarded.

Prime Premium Sashimi

If the fish you want isn’t in the pool, you can also repel them all with Goldenfish Bait to refresh.

Objective: Deliver 3 Premium Sashimi

Location: Verdant Hills

Subquest: Deliver a Goldenfish

Notes: There is a fishing area in the base camp but it’s not going to give you Premium Sashimi. Instead, head on out to area 11. The large, red fish are Premium Sashimi. If you don’t see one spawned when you walk in, enter and exit the area to refresh the pond until you see one. Or, just keep on fishing and as fish spawn into the pool, there is a 10% chance of a Premium Sashimi appearing. Fish that appear won’t leave unless you exit the area or fish them out, so be patient. The large, gold fish are aptly named Goldenfish and you’ll probably pick up a few along the way, perfect for fulfilling the subquest.

Verdant Hills Accounting

Objective: Earn 1,000 Wycademy Points

Location: Verdant Hills

Subquest: Hunt a Velocidrome

Notes: Because Harvest Tours weren’t enough, you now must deliver points from Account Items while you’re out gathering until you’re giddy! All Accounting Tours (as I shall call them) are unstable and the guest monster is your subquest, so have at it!
