Amiibos are the figures that Nintendo sells that hold a number of functions across all of the Nintendo games. In order to scan an Amiibo, hold left on the D-Pad until the Amiibo symbol appears, then you will be able to actually scan it.

• Cat Mario - Grants access to White Cat Mario, which gives you all of the same moves as the Super Bell, but Mario will be invincible.

• Cat Peach - Scanning this one will give Mario a random power-up, including the above Invincibility Bell from the Cat Mario amiibo.

• Any Bowser - Summons a Super Star power-up.

• Bowser Jr. - Summons a Super Star power-up.

• Any Super Mario series - Grants you a Super Star power-up.

• Any other Amiibo - Grants your character a 1-Up Mushroom.
