Hisstocrat is the main boss of World 3 and if you have a supply of Super Bells, this boss is a lot easier than without them. Of course, you might get a Super Bell during the actual boss fight, in case you lose it, but it’s best to come in with one in reserve and donning the Cat Suit, too. Enter the level and grab the power-up from the ?-Block before going up the steps, then into the gondola.
BOSS - Hisstocrat¶
Hisstocrat starts the battle by summoning boulders to drop from above, their landing zones indicated by shadows. After doing that, it will summon smaller snakes from the ground, some of which will have plates on their head. Some of these smaller snakes will not have a plate on their head, which is indicated by the eyeball poking out amidst the rustling sand. Ride the snakes high into the air then pounce on Hisstocrat to damage him. You’ll have to do this three times to defeat him and it’s hard without the Cat Suit.
If you wait too long to climb one of the lesser snakes to try and jump on Hisstocrat’s head, he will go back into the ground and summon more boulders. Also, some of the plates on the smaller snakes’ heads will be crack, meaning if you stand on them too long, then the plates will break and the smaller snakes will attempt to bite you. Fortunately, some snakes bring Super Bells with them, which makes this is a relatively simple boss battle.
Grab the Green Star after the battle is over, then go down the green pipe to arrive in the Goal Pole area.
