Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury

World Mushroom-2: Spiky Mount Beanpole

By
Jarrod Garripoli

Your objective in this level remix is to collect the five Key Coins in order to unlock the Warp Box at the beginning. Start by turning around and grabbing Key Coin #1, then cross the bridge. Behind the tree is Key Coin #2 and in the ?-Block is your first Lucky Bell power-up. It is essentially the same as the Super Bell, but whenever you perform a Ground Pound, your character will turn into a statue. While it is descending to the ground, the statue will spit out coins, meaning it can be nice to farm some coins in this manner. Climb up the tree and launch on to the next level, where Green Star #1 is placed behind the bell tree, just past the first Spike enemy.

(1 of 2) The first Green Star is hiding behind this tree

The first Green Star is hiding behind this tree (left), Break the bricks for a pipe that gets you the second Green Star (right)

A little higher up, you will see a wall of bricks that is obviously hiding a secret. Break through the bricks to uncover a green pipe, leading to a bonus area. Press the P-Switch, then collect all the blue coins to earn Green Star #2, noting that the Cat Suit makes it easier to get the last set of coins. Key Coin #3 is up the left side of the mountain, right to the left of the plethora of bricks. There are some hidden coin blocks here that prevent you from climbing straight up the wall. As you continue up the mountain, you will encounter two Spikes, side by side. Key Coin #4 will be to the right of those Spikes.

The third Green Star will be in the air at the top

Once you get to the top of the mountain, climb the left tree and from the top of it, jump to the right and do a mid-air roll to collect Green Star #3. The tree on the right will have Key Coin #5 at the very top of it. This should open the Warp Box back at the beginning, so take it to the Goal Pole area. Note you will need the Cat Suit in order to cap the flagpole.
