There are lots of challenging V Blood Bosses lurking around in V Rising and this page details how to find and kill the V blood boss, Bane the Shadowblade which was added in the Secrets of Gloomrot update. If you manage to defeat him, then you’ll earn the Slashers Recipe, Vampire Powers: Human Form and a Tier 1 Unholy Spell Point.
Bane the Shadowblade Location¶
Track Bane via the V Blood Menu and then fast travel to the Vampiric Waygate to the northeast of Dunley Farmlands. He doesn’t have a fixed location, so you’ll need to track him via the V Blood and then patrol the roads around farmlands until you come across him. Before you attempt to take him down, we recommend that you aim to have your gear level around 50 and this can be done by crafting the Hollowfang set which can be crafted via the Tailoring Bench.
Bane the Shadowblade Strategy¶
Bane the Shadowblade can be quite the challenge if you choose to fight him as soon as you reach level 50, as he will use a variety of chaos attacks against you and he has the ability to summon multiple shadow warriors. The best/safest way to fight Bane is by keeping your distance and this can be done by attacking him with ranged spells or by using a bow.
You can learn about the attacks that Bane may use against you below:
Chaos Whirlwind¶
Throughout the battle Bane will perform multiple spins at high speeds which will gradually deplete your health if you stand in it, so you’ll want to keep your distance until he stops.
Chaos Slash¶
Bane the Shadowblade can perform a multiple hit melee combo if you get too close. If you get hit by all of these then you’ll become temporarily incapacitated which will leave you open to attacks.
Chaos Dagger¶
On the flip side if you stand too far away, then he’ll launch multiple daggers at you which will deal damage in quick succession. To avoid this you want to run clockwise or anti-clockwise around the boss.
Chaos Summon¶
Once you get Bane the Shadowblade’s health to around the 50% mark, he’ll start summoning Undead Assassins. Here you’ll want to attack them individually until Bane reveals himself. If you hit the wrong one, then it’ll summon an armored skeleton. We recommend that you attack one at a time to avoid getting overrun by enemies.
Overall, Bane the Shadowblade shouldn’t cause you too much of a problem as long as you keep your distance and use long-ranged attacks, such as a bow or spells. Additionally, we recommend attempting this fiend once you’re slightly overleveled so you can take a few more hits and still survive. If you find yourself struggling to keep your health topped up, then you may want to consider bringing along the Ice Block ultimate as this will heal you a little.
