With the addition of the Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 along came a whole host of new characters to befriend. You may be wondering if this brings any new romance options to the love table. Read below to find out whom you can or cannot romance in Phantom Liberty.

Can you Romance Alex?¶

One of the new characters added was Reed’s colleague and friend, Alex. Alex owns the bar in Longshore Stacks called The Moth, and it’s here where you’ll meet her. At first, Alex isn’t a friend to anyone, but before long V and Alex become quick friends. At one point during the mission Birds with Broken Wings, Alex will ask if you want to stop by the bar (The Moth). If you take her up on the offer, V and Alex will get close, and can even dance together. Once the dance finishes, Alex will even hint that she wants more, but unfortunately, that’s as far as it’ll go.

A dance with Alex is the closest romance option you’ll get in Phantom Liberty.

Can you Romance Songbird?¶

Songbird plays a pivotal role in the main story of Phantom Liberty, and due to this, there is no time for romancing her. If you play along with her choices throughout the expansion, you can become close friends, but nothing more.

Can you Romance Reed?¶

Reed is the strong silent type who is played by the famous actor, Idris Elba. Throughout the story, you’ll go through a lot, but Reed is too busy worrying about the team and himself to have time for relations. At best, Reed will respect you by the end of the game, maybe somewhat of a friend, but there are no romance options with him. Why did we not get a dance scene with Reed? That would’ve been something!

Can you Romance Rosalind (President Myers)?¶

I’m sure you already know the answer to this question, but to answer it, it’s a resounding no. At best, you’ll become friendly at first (when you save her), then it’s back to business as normal. If you do everything that’s asked of you by her, she will give you a medal though.

Judy, Panam, River Romances in Phantom Liberty¶

When you finish Phantom Liberty, you’ll get a new ending for the base game. In the ending, you can contact the people you’ve made friends with over the entire game including your romance option whether that be Panam, Judy, or River. It will start as a text message at first, but you’ll end up calling them.
