During Chapter 4 of Dead Space Remake, you most likely found the Contact Beam weapon in the Record’s Room. This is a powerful weapon, but its best feature, the charged attack consumes ammo like it’s going out of fashion. For this reason, you may be wondering if there is a schematic for the ammo, and if so, where you can get it. Here’s where you can find the schematic.
Once you obtain the Contact Energy Schematic, you’ll be able to purchase it in any Store.
Contact Beam Ammo Schematic Location¶
Before you can find the schematic, you’ll need to progress the story until you reach Chapter 7 – Into the Void. The reason for this is that the schematic will be on the Mining Deck of the Ishimura, but you won’t have access to the area until you reach Chapter 7.

When you have reached Chapter 7, follow the objective until you find Dallas’s RIG, and you have to Find the SOS Beacon. Continue following the objective until you reach the next Save Point, and take a look at the map. You’ll see a small locked room in the center with hallways around its perimeter. Go down the hallway opposite the Save Point, to the right of the locked door, and then take the hallway north until you reach the next intersection. Stop, and rotate your camera southwest, and you’ll see an open window. From here, you can see the lock on the door.

Aim with your Plasma Cutter (any weapon will do) and shoot at the lock to open it. Head back to the entrance of the small room where you’ll find the Contact Beam Ammo Schematic under the table in the top-left of the room. It’s worth noting that there is a Node in the small cabinet on the wall to the left of the door as well as various other loot in the lockers. Now that you have the schematic, make your way to the nearest Store (there’s one in the previous area) where you’ll be able to purchase 5 Contact Energy for 2,000 Credits.
