Dead Space Remake offers a variety of Trophies/Achievements for players to earn, but one that has some difficulty is the Front Toward Enemy Trophy, as it’ll involve you surviving the shooting range. However, don’t worry too much as this page will navigate you through necessary steps to earning it.
Where Is The Shooting Range in The Dead Space Remake¶
Progress through Ishimura until you reach Chapter 8 - Search and Rescue, then you’ll find yourself aboard the USM Valor after its collision with the USG Ishimura. Here you’ll want to progress through the ship until you’ve dealt with the warhead, then the door to the Armory will be unlocked.
Proceed into the Armory and take two rights and you’ll find the entrance to the Shooting Range. Inside, collect the ammo from the desk, then interact with the screen to begin. You’ll want to make sure you earn the trophy/achievement now or it’ll become missable after Chapter 9.
How To Survive The Shooting Range in The Dead Space Remake¶
Interact with the panel to begin the challenge, then you’ll need to take down every Necromorphs which will spawn throughout a 30 second quarantine. Unlike the original game, players will no longer have to obtain a high score for the trophy, so will now be able to focus all of their attention on dealing with the Necromorphs.
It is recommended you use the Pulse Rifle, as the game loads you up with plenty of ammo at the start and its high rate of fire will allow you to deal with Necromorphs quickly. If you have any Stasis Charge available, then now is the perfect time to use it as slowing Necromorphs will give you a chance to avoid wasting ammo, as shooting the limbs will be easier.
Additionally, you’ll want to always be on the move throughout the quarantine, as keeping still will allow the Necromorphs to corner you and as a result kill you, so you’ll have to start again. Necromorphs like to jump out from vents, so avoid staying too close to these where possible. After the quarantine has ended, then the Trophy/Achievement should pop!
