Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Save System Explained

By
Jessica Dillon

Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes is a game that wears its JRPG routes proudly on its sleeves, and as such, features save points instead of save anywhere. This changes the way you play the game as you will need to strategize a bit when playing, especially if your time is limited. The guide below goes over how you save the game, and some tips on where you can expect to find save points when exploring.

Save spots can be found at the start, middle, and end of dungeons.

Where to Save The Game

You can’t save the game just anywhere. Like in older JRPGs, there are save points that you have to find. In dungeons, these are typically found at the start, in the middle, and right before the boss. They are blue orbs that are easy to recognize. If you’re in a settlement, then you will need to head to the local inn and speak with the innkeeper to save your game. There are 20 save slots so that you can revisit prior saves if you miss something in the game. We highly recommend making multiple saves when going into a new dungeon. If you forget to buy equipment and are struggling, then you will need to travel all the way back to town.

If you already have a save there, then you can reload that, pick up what you need from town, and then head back into the dungeon with the equipment you need. The game does have autosaving, but it will only trigger when you leave a town or a dungeon. Be sure to properly allot the time between save points, generally 20 to 30 minutes at most, so you don’t end up losing any of your progress. Keep in mind that save points don’t allow you to fast-travel between them, don’t allow you to swap party members, and don’t heal your party when you interact with them.
