The last part of the Suicide Mission is about you and your two squad mates heading into the Collector Base, whilst the rest of your squad holds the line behind you.
Choice: Shepard’s Squad¶
The last choice to make is who to bring alongside you for the final battle. Whoever you take with you, make sure they’re loyal.
- Ideal - Anyone who is loyal to you.
If they’re loyal to you, they will survive.
- Non-Ideal - Anyone who isn’t loyal to you.
If they’re not loyal to you, they will die.
One thing to note, try bringing along some of your weaker, but still loyal squad member’s with you like Jack, Tali or Mordin as this will keep them alive, and strengthen the team who hold the line.
Choice: Hold the Line¶
The rest of your squad will stay behind, so they can hold the line against the Collectors. This can be one of the harder choices in the game due to all the hidden point values that determine who survives, and who dies. Thankfully, the community figured these out, and it works like this.
Point Value.¶
Points | Squad Member |
---|---|
4 | Garrus, Grunt, Zaeed |
2 | Jacob, Legion, Miranda, Morinth, Samara, Thane |
1 | Jack, Kasumi, Mordin, Tali |
For the whole squad to survive, the average point value needs to be higher than two, if it’s lower than that, up to three members will die. Furthermore, there’s a pecking order on whose most likely to die, these are as follows:
- Mordin > Tali > Kasumi > Jack > Miranda > Jacob > Garrus > Samara/Morinth > Legion > Thane > Zaeed > Grunt
Shepard’s Survival¶
The last check in the Suicide Mission, is your jump towards the Normandy. This is calculated on how many of your battle team survived.
-
If two or more squad mates survived, you will make the jump, and survive.
-
If none, or only one survived, you won’t make the jump, and die.
