The Arc Projector is a very useful close-range heavy weapon, especially on Insanity or Hardcore difficulties.

The Arc Projector is a heavy weapon type and is acquired by downloading the Cerberus Network DLC and reading the e-mail from Admiral Hackett.

Official Description: “ The Arc Projector is capable of discharging a high-voltage electrical attack to multiple targets in the battlefield. As the lightning-like bolt hits its first target, a sophisticated auto-targeting system paints succeeding targets with an ionization laser, allowing the electricity to arc between them. Careful aiming will also allow the user to arc shots to nearby explosives as well. An entire enemy squad can be dropped with a careful pull of the trigger. “

Combat Tactics: This gun shines at removing large groups of enemies because not only can it stun organic enemies, prevent regeneration and slow them down, it can also act as a primer for biotic and tech explosions. It has the same properties as Overload in that it can strip enemy shields easily. The downsides are that it struggles at range and takes a good two seconds to charge so it requires some finesse to master. The weapon is best used on missions with Husk swarms or in tight, enclosed spaces to gain full advantage of its powers.
