After meeting back up with the vent specialist, you’ll discover Normandy’s crew - their fate is determined by how many Assignments or Missions you’ve done since their kidnapping. See below on how the check is worked out:

Choice: If the Normandy Crew Survive or Not¶

• 0 - If you didn’t do any Assignments or Missions, and went through the Omega-4 relay as soon as you could, all of your crew will survive.

• 1- 3 - If you completed between one to three Assignments/Missions, half of the crew will die, including Kelly, Ken, Gabby, and Mess Sergeant Gardner.

• 4+ - If you completed more than four Assignments/Missions, all of the crew will perish except Dr. Chakwas.

To avoid this, complete as many of the Assignments/Missions before the point of no return.
