Brodie has agreed to help Nu Bi in his quest to produce the legendary equipment, but their relationship suddenly seems to have soured. It’s up to you to find Nu Bi and mend this relationship. Nu Bi is in Evermore, so track him down (he was to the west of the General Store for us) and speak with him. It seems he overheard Brodie talking to a friend about how Nu Bi is “just a kid” and acts differently to his face. Return to Brodie to find out that he was just protecting Nu Bi from the fumes that the work came with, which leads to Brodie asking for another favor.

Brodie wants you to get three clumps of frostyfluff cotton to help Nu Bi with the fumes. You can get frostyfluff cotton from either then Wondrous Bazaar or the Bountiful Bazaar. Once you accrue three clumps of the cotton, hand it over to Nu Bi. He’ll head back to the Weapon Workshop, so return to make sure everything’s okay. Once you get back, Brodie will ask one final favor of you, to bring a Radiant Blade of grade 8 or higher to Nu Bi. Provided you have researched level 6 melee weapon development at the Workshop, then you will be able to craft a radiant blade.

Research Level 6 Melee Weapon Development in order to make the Radiant Blade

To make the Radiant Blade, you will need the following materials: Nocturnium Nugget (x2), Forest Crystal Cluster (x2), Heavenly Wonderwater (x2), and a Dream Prism. Also, the catalyst for the blade is a Somnium Nugget and depending on your research, you may need 3-6 of them. Funnily enough, all of the items can be gotten from Mining Camp No. 5, so you don’t have to split up citizens for this. Create the radiant blade and make sure you apply enough catalysts to make it grade 8 or higher, then show it off to Nu Bi to put an end to the quest.
