Located east from Heahea City, this is Akala Island’s second hotel–and what an extravagant hotel it is. As you enter, travel east to begin with, until you’re in the middle of the four hedges. Go down the stairs to the south to reach the docks. Here, you can find Totem Sticker #045 on the wall to the far east.

Next, if you’re curious, chat to the young boy standing by the corner of one of the hedges above the stairs. He’ll invite you to attend a Pokémon wedding. Afterwards, you’ll receive a Rose Incense for taking part. This held item increases the power of Grass-type moves, but you should have a Miracle Seed already.

Moving on, head north between the hedges towards the entrance to the hotel itself. Rather than going inside, go left from the entrance. Over here, a famous "Pikachu" IconPikachu is being bothered by a reporter. It’s tough being famous! Try to shoo off the reporter and you’ll be dragged into a battle.

Reporter Rita

Pokémon Level Type
"Miltank" IconMiltank 26 Normal

This cow Pokémon has fairly solid stats, so a heavy hitter, especially a Fighting-type, is recommended. It can use Milk Drink to restore its own HP and Body Slam to deal good damage and potentially inflict paralysis.

From here, you can proceed north through the hotel entrance. Inside, Faba will offer to take you straight to Aether Paradise. Unless you’re itching to leave Akala Island, refuse his offer for the time being. Now you can explore the hotel in peace. To start with, make your way to the south-west corner of the lobby.

Around here is a Pokémon Breeder who can take a look at your Pokémon’s growth. If your Pokémon has gained enough levels, he’ll give it a Footprint Ribbon. This has no effect on battles or anything, but it can be fun to collect different ribbons. To his south-west, you can fish out Totem Sticker #046 from the water.

Next, go north-west from the Move Tutor. Near the north-west corner of the lobby is a "Machamp" IconMachamp surrounded by two lovely ladies.

Try to confront the women and you’ll invoke their ire.

Golf Buddies Tara and Tina

Pokémon Level Type
"Oricorio" IconOricorio (Pom-Pom) 26 Electric/Flying
"Oricorio" IconOricorio (Pa’u) 26 Psychic/Flying

A Double Battle with two "Oricorio" IconOricorios, one from Melemele Island and the other from Akala Island. Both are weak to Rock and Ice, while the Pa’u Style is also weak to Electric, Dark and Ghost. Beware that both have Feather Dance and if used, their partner will copy the same move.

After that little mix-up, you’ll receive TM45 Attract. If used on a Pokémon of the opposite gender, this causes infatuation, which has a chance of making the affected Pokémon skip its turn. It’s a bit like confusion, except it doesn’t do damage. Anyway, head north-east from the Machamp towards the north the lobby.

Over here, there’s a female trainer and a "Murkrow" IconMurkrow. If you’re up for it, you can challenge her to a battle.

Veteran Kiara

Pokémon Level Type
"Trumbeak" IconTrumbeak 27 Normal/Flying

Kiara has a peculiar "Trumbeak" IconTrumbeak that relies on Echoed Voice to deal damage. This move increases in power when used in succession. However it’s a special move and Trumbeak isn’t much of a special attacker. It can also use Supersonic to cause confusion. Clip its wings with Electric, Rock or Ice-types.

Your reward is a Metronome, a held item that increases the power of moves used in succession. Basically, it encourages your Pokémon to be one-trick ponies. On the wall immediately to Kiara’s right is Totem Sticker #047 that you should pick up before the hotel cleaning staff do. From here, head east behind the giant waterfall.

On the other side is a dancer with a "Crabrawler" IconCrabrawler. Similar to the young man back in Konikoni City, this trainer wants to be shown an exhilarating Z-Move.

Dancer Ronda

Pokémon Level Type
"Crabrawler" IconCrabrawler 26 Fighting

To fulfill Ronda’s request, you must use a Z-Move during this battle. The ideal choice is the Supersonic Skystrike, the Flying-type Z-Move, but any will do. As thanks, you’ll receive 5 Full Heals. If you don’t use a Z-Move for some reason, you can repeat this battle the next day.

That’s everything inside the hotel. However, there’s still much to do. Once you’ve seen enough, exit the hotel via the south. Don’t worry, Faba will still be waiting for you. Back outside, travel east from the hotel entrance to reach the last area of the island.
