After much walking, running and galloping, you’re almost ready to begin the next island trial. As you arrive from Tapu Village, directly up ahead is a large, white building–the Aether House. Before going that direction, head west towards the seafront. Soon, you’ll reach the top of a slope, guarded by a male Pokémon trainer.

Just above the trainer, step into the tall grass and check along its north side for a Hyper Potion that’s partially obscured by the grass. Afterwards, you’ll have to battle the trainer to go down the slope.

Ace Trainer Yuki

Pokémon Level Type
"Gible" IconGible 34 Dragon/Ground
"Marowak" IconMarowak (Alolan) 35 Fire/Ghost

"Gible" IconGible is the unevolved version of "Gabite" IconGabite that you might have fought earlier. Again, it takes a whopping 4x damage from Ice and the usual super-effective damage from Dragon and Fairy. This one does not have moves to hurt Ice and Fairies.

"Marowak" IconMarowak is the same Pokémon you fought atop Wela Volcano Park. As before, it’s weak to Water, Ground, Rock, Ghost and Dark. Ghost-types obviously need to be careful, while Rock-types can potentially take a beating from its Bonemerang.

At the bottom of the slope is a beach area leading to the rest of this watery route. However you will be unable to proceed south due to the boulders in the sea. There also no items found on this beach, buried or otherwise. But if you swim north-west from the beach, there is a single swimmer that you can take on.

Swimmer Kyra

Pokémon Level Type
"Seaking" IconSeaking 35 Water
"Lumineon" IconLumineon 35 Water

Two pure Water-types for your Grass and Electric-types to eat up. "Seaking" IconSeaking is an evolved "Goldeen" IconGoldeen. Meanwhile "Lumineon" IconLumineon is not an evolved "Eevee" IconEevee, despite what its name may suggest, but an evolved "Finneon" IconFinneon. Both are fairly unremarkable fish.

After this brief detour, return east and enter the Aether House. Upon entering, you’ll be mistaken for a bad Pokémon trainer.

Preschooler Hunter

Pokémon Level Type
"Elekid" IconElekid 32 Electric

A baby Electric-type. None of your Pokémon should struggle unless they’re weak to Electric, but of course use a Ground-type if you can.

After clearing up the misunderstanding, you’ll be given clearance to attempt the Ghost-type trial. There’s nothing to do in the Aether House, but you can take a look inside if you’d like. Once you’re roaring to bust some ghosts, exit the Aether House. Outside, Lillie needs a spot of help.

Team Skull Grunt

Pokémon Level Type
"Drowzee" IconDrowzee 33 Psychic

How many times have you fought this "Drowzee" IconDrowzee now? More importantly, why has it not evolved? This one doesn’t know Hypnosis, luckily, but it does carry a mean Psybeam. No problem for a strong Dark or Ghost-type.

Having saved the day, you’ll receive 5 Luxury Balls from Lillie. These things are pretty pricey, so you should accept them gladly. Afterwards, head south back to Tapu Village. From here, make your way east back towards the Pokémon Center. Finally, go south from the nearby trainer tips sign to reach Route 14.
