Bowser is the final team member you can recruit and he has a few special attacks up his sleeve!

List of all Bowser’s Special Attacks

Special Attack Level Unlock Power Effects FP Cost

Poison Gas Lv. 12 20 Damages all enemies and an additional 90% chance to inflict fear. Spin the left analogue stick to fill the wheel to increase the damage (does not increase chance of poison). 10 FP
Crusher Lv. 15 60 Damages one chosen enemy. Press “A” Joy-Con-ButtonA right after the rock erupts from the ground to deal increased damage. 12 FP
Mechakoopa Stomp Lv. 18 58 Damages all enemies and the damage increases the quicker you press “A” Joy-Con-ButtonA to fill the wheel. 16 FP

Terrorize and Poison Gas

Terrorize and Poison Gas work very similarly in the fact that they damage all enemies and also have a 90% chance to inflict a status. Terrorize will inflict fear, which means that an enemy inflicted with fear will have their attack and defense halved! Enemies inflicted with poison will take extra damage every turn for a few turns. You can increase the damage inflicted by both attacks by spinning the left analogue stick quickly to fill the wheel in time.

These special attacks have some situational use, but for the most part, they’re not that useful. The good thing is that they target all enemies!

(1 of 2) When you terrorise the enemy team, a huge boo will appear to frighten them!

Crusher

The Crusher attack can only target one enemy but it deals a substantial amount of damage. To increase the damage of the attack, press “A” Joy-Con-ButtonA right as the huge rock bursts from the ground. As always, you can use the “!” exclamation mark above "Bowser" iconBowser’s head to judge the timing.

A huge rock pillar will burst from the ground to deal damage to one enemy.

Mechakoopa Stomp

Mechakoopa Stomp is a fun special attack that summons a huge Mechakoopa toy that’ll stampede across all enemies! To do the maximum amount of damage, repeatedly hit “A” Joy-Con-ButtonA to fill the wheel as quickly as you can.

The Mechakoopa is a nostalgic minion of Bowser’s that can be found in a variety of Mario games.

Super Mario RPG is a wonderful and whimsical remake of the 1996 classic Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. You’ll need to assemble a group of heroes (starting with Mario of course!) to embark on a quest to repair the wish-granting Star Road! Along the way you’ll encounter enemies from the Smithy Gang, and you’ll unlock access to a whole cast of nostalgic playable characters, from Princess Peach to Geno the puppet to the adorable Mallow.

This guide includes everything you need to make your way through the Super Mario RPG remake. Whilst this game is a faithful remake of the original, the game developers, ArtePiazza, have also included some fun post-game match-ups for those who are looking for an extra challenge and a departure from the OG game!
