List of all Mallow’s Special Attacks¶
Mallow is a pretty versatile lil dude, and depending on the scenario you could use him as a support-type member with his healing, or he can be the primary damage dealer with his multiple multi-target Special Attacks.
Special Attack | Level Unlock | Power | Effects | FP Cost |
---|---|---|---|---|
Thunderbolt | Default | 15 | Thunder damage to all enemies, and deal extra damage by hitting “A” right as the lightning strikes. | 2 FP |
Thought Peek | Default | - | Choose an enemy and find out their remaining HP and weaknesses/resistances. | 1 FP |
HP Rain | Lv. 3 | 10 | Heal one ally and when the shower ends press “A” again at the end to heal the ally to full. | 2 FP |
Shocker | Lv. 10 | 60 | Thunder damage to one enemy and press “A” at the end to deal extra damage. | 8 FP |
Snowy | Lv. 14 | 60 | A snow attack that will deal more damage the quicker fill the wheel by rotating the left analogue stick. | 12 FP |
Star Rain | Lv. 18 | 55 | A huge star will fall down from the sky and damage all enemies. Press “A” to make the star bounce. The star can bounce up to 17 times. | 14 FP |
Thunderbolt and Shocker¶
Thunderbolt and Shocker are strong attacks that deal Thunder damage. Thunderbolt is an early game default attack that you can use to clear out multiple enemies at once. Shocker is a stronger and more targeted version that you can use to hit one enemy and like Thunderbolt, you can deal extra damage if you hit “A” at the perfect time (as the lightning bolt hits the ground).
Thought Peek¶
Thought Peek doesn’t deal damage or heal but it is very useful nonetheless! Using this ability will allow you to view the enemy’s remaining health and their weaknesses/resistances. This lets you assess the fight more accurately and use more powerful elements to deal with the enemies quicker.
HP Rain¶
HP Rain can be used to heal an ally, allowing you to use Mallow as a pure support player in some scenarios. If you perfectly hit “A” right before the shower ends it’ll heal the target to full!
Snowy¶
This attack will perform Ice damage to all enemies in the fight. To get the max amount of damage, you’ll have to rotate the left analogue stick as quickly as you can to fill the wheel to the max. It’s a great attack to have in your arsenal as it provides elemental damage that could be crucial to fighting enemies with weakness to ice damage.
Star Rain¶
Star Rain might sound like HP Rain, but it’s actually a pure damaging attack! It’ll target all enemies and can bounce extra times if you hit “A” right as the stars land. Unlike Mario’s super jump though, you won’t be able to keep triggering damage as it only bounces up to 17 times.
