In terms of its placement in the Legend of Zelda series, A Link Between Worlds is a sequel to the similarly named A Link to the Past, which debuted on the SNES.
It takes place in the same game world as A Link to the Past, but many years later; a lot of the locations are the same, but the story and dungeons are all new. If you played A Link to the Past, this game is a real nostalgia treat!
Link’s house hasn’t changed much since A Link to the Past, but the game has.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is an action adventure game where you travel the land of Hyrule, fighting hordes of monsters and solving a plethora of puzzles. The majority of the game is observed from a top-down (or bird’s-eye) perspective.
You play the role of a young and outstanding man who will refer to as “Link”, his default name; it is Link’s task and yours to bring peace to Hyrule after the arrival of a mysterious and menacing villain.
