This page will provide details for earning the “Drone You Out” achievement in Gotham Knights.
How to Complete the Drone You Out Trophy/Achievement¶
This is one of the achievements/trophies that may take you a while. For the achievement you’ll need to defeat 30 Regulator Drone Masters! For the most part, you’ll want to save this until you’re near the end of the game, so there’s less of them that you’ll have to hunt for later.
If you still need some of them by the time you reach the end of the game, you’ll need to fight crimes involving the Regulator Factions, and hope a Regulator Drone Master is amongst them. Here are some tips to help you locate them more easily:
-
Open the map, and check the Premeditated Crimes around the area. Check under the Faction to see if it says Regulators underneath it. If it does, this means that you are guaranteed to fight Regulators in that specific crime.
-
The higher the difficulty, the more likely the chance to face them. At the end of the game, and post game, this difficulty can rise to Very High.
-
Normal crimes indicated with a white triangle can also have them, don’t neglect them.
Like mentioned above though, focus on the other long trophies/achievement first like Expert Crime Fighter as you may well finish it before you have to waste time looking for them later.
What are Regulator Drone Masters¶
Regulator Drone Masters are Minibosses inside the Regulator faction. These are arguably some of the most annoying enemies to fight in the game after Talons. They will constantly bombard you with multiple drones that will fire at you every couple of seconds, and they can be quite evasive when you try to focus them down. On the higher difficulty crimes, they can really hinder you.
They deal electric damage, and are weak to Concussive damage, so you may want to equip weapons that have that element attached to them, and a suit that negates electric damage. Batgirl’s Beatdown ability is especially strong against them, and a couple of them should be enough to take them down. Nightwing’s Shotgun Darts are also pretty good against them, as is his Whirlwind ability. Red Hood’s Barrage is also great due to its many interrupts, and finally, Robin has a couple of great methods in his arsenal. The first is his ability to perform ambush/Silent Takedowns on large enemies if you have the Turnabout ability unlocked. The second is his piercing attack, Bo Spin.
