System Requirements for Gotham Knights on PC¶

The below settings are the official minimum and recommended released for the game. You should be able to get similar results if you have slightly different but more or less equivalent hardware.

Should You Play Gotham Knights on PC or Console?¶

Can You Get Above 30 FPS With a Console?¶

If you have the option to choose between PC or console for playing Gotham Knights, you may be considering PC in light of the news that the game will be locked at 30 FPS on both Playstation 5 and Xbox. However, you’ll need to take into account whether you have at least the recommended requirements to run the game on PC, as shown above, before you make the decision. If you don’t have something close to those specs and you’re not planning on upgrading any time soon, you may struggle to achieve a decent balance between good visuals and decent FPS even on PC.

If the above is true for you, it may be worth going with the console version, especially since there’s a reasonable chance that the 30 FPS cap may be patched at some point in the future. In this case you could find yourself being able to run the game more efficiently with smoother gameplay on a PS5 or Xbox rather than a PC in the long run. With that said, if you have the recommended specs or above, the PC should allow you to hit that sweet spot of 60 FPS immediately.

Recommended Graphics Settings for PC¶

The temptation to buy the PC version becomes all the more appealing when you consider that you can often tweak far more graphical settings in a PC game than you can with the console counterpart. This means that you can play around with some of the most demanding settings such as shadows, reflections, water and atmospheric rendering, in order to achieve the best balance of visuals and FPS for your specific hardware.

Keep in mind that even in highly demanding games which have come to the PC in the past such as Red Dead Redemption 2, it was possible to increase your FPS from -60 to 100+ without losing much in terms of visual quality. In general, the details of most changes between Ultra, Very High, and High settings are difficult to discern or differentiate while playing in most scenarios, so we expect the same to be true for Gotham Knights.
