One of the side activities you can do in One Piece Odyssey is hunt down wanted criminals and cash in their Bounties. There’s a number of Bounties in the game, with this page being dedicated to the Garuda Pirate Gardar Bounty.
How to Find Garuda Pirate Gardar in One Piece Odyssey¶
Before you have access to this Bounty, you need to have completed the Mediator Marzin’s Quest in Nanohana of Alabasta. Once you have finished this, check the bulletin board in the tavern to find a list of new Bounties available for you to catch. The description listed for Gardar mentions that he is located in the Bone Bridge Canyon area of the Great Sandy Desert.
At first, you won’t be able to get to this area until you progress the main story a little bit. So, just keep playing and you will be told you have to go through Bone Bridge Canyon in order to get to Rainbase, your main objective in this portion of the game. Once you have access to Bone Bridge Canyon, head to the southwestern corner to see an abandoned cart, which will have the wanted poster marker on it (if you have gotten the bounty from the bulletin board). Inspect this cart to make Gardar appear, along with his cronies.
How to Defeat Garuda Pirate Gardar in One Piece Odyssey¶
This battle can be a little rough, considering you are up against six enemies in a single battle. However, there is one thing that makes this a little easier on yourself, as all but one of the enemies are the same type, Technique. That means it might not be a good idea to use Power types in this battle, so you may need to bench Chopper, Luffy and Sanji. Luckily, you’re not going to see too many special attacks or anything in the battles, as most of the enemies will be sticking to normal attacks.
You might see some Spirit Strikes from some of them, but the majority of the attacks will be normal ones. The only one you will need to be careful about is Imitation Green, as he might trigger a Dramatic Scene, making him slightly stronger than usual. Also, Imitation Pink is probably the first one you want to defeat, as she has the ability to use Heal on others. Nami’s Thunderbolt Tempo is a great attack in this battle, as she will deal slightly more damage to most of the enemies, plus that attack has a chance to inflict paralysis.
Overall, the battle can be a bit hectic at first, due to all of the enemies, but once you start taking down some of them, it becomes more manageable. Make sure to keep your allies’ HP above half, just in case, and you should be golden.
