Bond Charges are one of the important mechanics players can level up during combat. Improving the Bond Charge meter levels will grant the player access to special moves between a set number of characters you unlock via the Hysteria Memory Link locations. Some of these require lower levels, while others require higher levels. To access the higher levels ones, you will need to do various tasks to bring it up during combat. Here’s a list of all known Bond Charge levels, and how to increase it.
How to increase Bond Charge Levels¶
You first need to know that there are a few rules to increasing bond charge levels. You can do any number of actions to increase bond charge levels. The first time you perform a bond charge increasing action, you will get lots of progress up the levels. When you repeat the same actions, you get a slight boost to your levels. It is better to do as many unique actions as possible if you intend on getting bond levels for those incredibly powerful moves as fast as possible.
Once you spend your Bond Charge Levels, the milestones and unique actions reset. Therefore, you can work through list of possible bond-increasing moves and get lots of experience back.
The final thing you need to know is that Bond level is persistent across all your characters. You can gradually build your bond level up through several fights, ready to unleash it when a boss or mini-boss turns up that you need to beat.
Bond Charge Level Increasing Moves¶
Here is a list of all Bond Charge level-increasing moves in the game.
- Defeat an Enemy
- Released area crew was fighting in (defeat enemies in an area that you have a friendly character in)
- Backup crew in another area (use a move on an enemy in another area occupied by an all character)
- Crew member cured or enhanced (use an item or skill that enhances or cures a status effect from a character)
- Resist a powerful move (Resist skills that enemies use against you.)
- Attack everyone (Spells that deal AOE damage in your area and other areas of the map, such as Nami)
- Change crew on the frontline (change a crew member that is in the same area as an enemy(ies))
- Revive knocked-out crew (use a food item to revive a knocked-out member of your party. They need to be down and on 0 Hp to revive them)
