Sons of the Forest

Sons of the Forest Log Dupes for Early Access

By
Craig Robinson

Sons of the Forest is filled with many different log dupes, affecting a variety of items, or item generation. While this will make crafting easier, other dupes in the game will benefit your construction. If you want to dupe logs to make creative saves or base building a less tedious task, then here’s a look at the Sons of the Forest log dupes in early access.

All Sons of the Forest Log Dupes in Early Access

This is by far the best method to dupe logs in Sons of the Forest.

One of the easiest methods of getting logs is via the Log Cabin. Place a simple pre-built log cabin from the building menu, and place it anywhere you like. Ideally, place it close to your base in a spot you don’t mind getting filled with logs so you can bring it the constructions you want to build at.

Once the Log Cabin is down, you need to walk just far enough where you lose the “E” key to place items in for construction. You now want to look just above the door of the Log Cabin Blueprint and hold “C”, as this allows you to take logs from the blueprint construction. Doing this at the minute will allow players to pull logs out repeatedly, essentially causing logs to spawn.

You can also do this with planks too. Simply go to the construction menu, and select the Look Out Tower. Place the look out tower, and then go to the front door of the blueprint. If you look at the front step and then back away like you do with the Log Cabin and hold “C”, you can also spawn floor planks infinitely as well. To do this, look at the base of the Tower door to spawn planks. If you need visual assistance, check the clip out below.

Sons of the Forest Log Dupe: The Stick Method

Bug spawning logs in via the pre-built buildings is a quick way to get logs.

The other method players can use to dupe logs is via the stick prop-up. Place a log down on the ground, and then select a stick on your right hand. Walk up to the end of the log, and then left-click it with the stick equipped to prop the log up. Once the log is propped up, walk into it, and then you will cause the log to fall over, and dupe.

Log Dupe Method 3: The 90-Degrees

Multiplayer servers can try this method to dupe Logs.

You will need to get two logs, and place them one pointing in a direction, with another log Going upwards.. You now need a third log to go 90 degrees in another direction on the ground. When those three pieces are are set up, you can place a fourth log on the floor stood up, touching the three other logs. Because of the game’s collision mechanic, it will likely duplicate the log.

This only seems to work for player who are not hosting a server, so it’s likely one to try if you’re joining a multiplayer server, rather than hosting a single player or multiplayer save. Note, this dupe can work with other physical objects that prevent the log from spawning correctly. As it can work with stones stuck in the ground and other hard set objects.
