Sons Of The Forest, like its predecessor, boasts an incredible and intense survival experience that few other developers have been able to replicate. While this can be played alone for the most horror-like feel, it’s potentially even more entertaining hopping in with a friend.
Thankfully, co-op returns with this new The Forest iteration so you’ll be able to work together with your friends and hopefully survive the grotesque situations that you’ll ultimately get yourself into.
If you weren’t aware though, co-op in Sons Of The Forest isn’t just two players so below, we’ll provide you with what the limit is, so you know whether to get the whole squad together.
How Many Can Play Sons Of The Forest Co-Op?¶
If you are looking to share the survival burden with another, or even a full team, you’ll likely want to know what the maximum number of players you can get in one server is.
As previously stated, this is more than a simple two player co-op situation, and in fact, even exceeds that of what you’d typically expect. You’ll be able to play Sons Of The Forest cooperatively with seven other players, making eight total survivors including yourself.
This number is exactly the same as the first The Forest game. This is to be expected at launch considering it is releasing in early access, but we anticipate that since this is a whole new title, it could increase if the demand for it is there.
If you do choose to play Sons Of The Forest co-op, it will certainly alleviate a lot of the survival stress. You’ll be able to share a bunch of the gathering responsibilities and allow the ability to fend off any attackers as a group, increasing the chances of avoiding death.
Base-building will also be far easier, all pitching in to build not just a small shack but instead, potentially a make-shift mansion, ensuring they’ll be no foe too strong to take you down.
