How to Start Rare Herb Retrieval¶

Rare Herb Retrieval is a request in The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, which you can pick up on Chapter 2 Day 2. To start this quest you just need to sit through all the chatter at the start of the day, and when you finally gain control of your characters, investigate the computer in the SSS HQ to accept this request.

How to Complete Rare Herb Retrieval¶

Unlike the other requests you could have picked up today, this one doesn’t require any fishing or combat. Just a bit of talking and running around. Probably not something you should be having police do, but… it pays.

To get this request properly started you’ll need to head to St. Ursula Medical College, which is at the end of Ursula Road, which, of course, you can reach via Station Street. No need to hoof it through Ursula Road again, just take the bus right to the hospital. When you arrive, go through the gate and enter the front lobby by continuing east. Continue east through a doorway (there’s a “Medical Office” nearby) then go through some doors to the north to find Dr. Lago, who will, after chattering with himself, ask you to recover some Lupinus Grass from Archbishop Eralda.

As the title implies, you’ll find the Archbishop at the Crossbell Cathedral. Take the bus back to Crossbell City and exit to the Mainz Mountain Path via the Residential District. From here you just need to exit to the east to reach Crossbell Cathedral. Head on inside the cathedral and continue east to reach the altar, where you’ll find the Archbishop. Talk to him and after speculating on the relationship between Archbishop Eralda and Dr. Lago you’ll be told to head to the Archbishop’s office to get the grass.

Head west down to the front of the cathedral and go through doors to the north, then east to reach the Archbishop’s office. Talk to Father Renton and, after having to hear some more about Archbishop Eralda and Dr. Lago, you’ll be given the Lupinus Grass you seek.

Just return to Dr. Lago to complete the request… after another conversation delving into Archbishop Eralda and Dr. Lago’s past.
