How to Reach Dondoko Island Resort Rank Two

By
Jessica Dillon

Your work isn’t done once you finally become a resort. Dondoko Island can become a five-star resort with a bit of polish, and you now have the ability to work towards becoming a two-star resort. During this page of the Dondoko Island story, you will gain access to new areas, items, fight new enemies, and unlock the tourism system. The guide below goes over everything you need to know to reach the Rank Two Resort in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Reaching resort rank two in Infinite Wealth is just a bit harder.

How to Reach Resort Rank Two - Dondoko Island

After reaching resort rank one, you will be shown the Hill area by Matayoshi. Here, you will be attacked by the pirate crew once again and must defeat them. Along with the regular pirates that you’ve been fighting up to this point, a new enemy that wears a green vest will be introduced. To defeat this enemy, you will need to hit them five times. Once the pirates are defeated, you will reclaim the area so that you can begin destroying trash and eventually pay to permanently clean it. Just like before, you can clear trash to raise this area’s ranking. The higher you raise it, the less it will cost to clear. The Hill initially costs 250,000 Dokobucks to clear, but for each level of cleared trash you reach, the price will decrease by 25,000 Dokobucks. You will also need to be Builder rank 15, achieved by continuing to craft more recipes at the workbench.

The Lighthouse is located on the right side of the island, up the stone stairs You will once again have to fight a group of enemies when you arrive. This time, a yellow-vested enemy is added into the mix. When you are ready, choose the option to fight, this new enemy will take six hits to defeat. To clear the Lighthouse area, you will need your Builder Rank to be 20 and fork over 350,000 Dokobucks. Each level will decrease the cost by 35,000 Dokobucks. While these prices can be lowered substantially, it still costs quite a bit of money to get through this part of the story. Keep in mind that enemies will spawn in both areas every day until they are cleared for good.

(1 of 3) You will need to fight to gain access to each new area from here on out.

During this section of the story the ability to place lodgings will unlock. Once you place your first ones, the next day, you will be forced to take on guests. Guests each have things they want out of the resort, and the better the needs are met, the more money you can make. You will need to wrap up your first tour before you can clear the lighthouse. The tour takes three days, so use this time to lower the cost of the area, make some extra money, and increase your point rating. Sadly, you will need to invest in buying lodgings to start this event. Kenzo sells them, but they are quite pricey, with the lowest being 30,000 Dokobucks for a Cozy Cardboard Home. Additionally, lodgings can only be placed on a road, so you will need to place it alongside a path or build one to put it on yourself.

Luckily, there are new items you can collect that are worth much more money, like ore. While you may want to hang on to the Diamond Ore for building, the rest of the ore types, including gold, are great to sell. They can quickly net you a decent paycheck and are all found around the two new areas. The beach on the right side of the island is also open now, and there you can find pearls, another collectible used to build high-level furnishings. You will also need to deal with raising your Popularity and Satisfaction points higher to reach Resort Rank Two. The section below gives you a look at what you need to do to accomplish this.

Next Star Requirements

Requirement How to Reach
Satisfaction Points Earn 5,000 Points
Popularity Points Earn 2,000 Points
Clear Lighthouse Permanently Remove Garbage From Area
Clear Hill Pay to Remove Garbage From Area Permanently

A simple method of improving your Popularity and Satisfaction is to build outside only furnishings, such as the various buildings. These are pricey, but give you massive gains in both points while also contributing to increasing your Builder Rank.

Improving Your Dondoko Island Resort

In addition to this, you will want to go ahead and pay 50,000 Dokobucks to upgrade your Bat with Kenzo. The amount of wood, trash, and rocks you are gathering will greatly increase as you make higher-level furniture. Having an upgraded Bat lets you clear multiple items in one swing. If possible, you should also invest in setting up stonework and woodworking areas, these can be purchased from the island shop.

These items will passively produce wood and rock, adding them to the resource pick-up point each day. Once you’re set up, keep collecting items to raise your popularity and decorating your island with furniture to raise your satisfaction. Keep in mind that the ability to buy and make souvenirs unlocks on the tour’s second day, giving you a brand-new section of Dokopedia items to collect for points while they can also be used as gifts daily to boost the happiness of your guests. What Unlocks at Resort Rank Two?

Resort Rank Two is one of the most exciting ranks as you unlock the ability to grow crops and a special area known as Dondoko Farm. This area can be used to farm rare materials and train your Sujimon. Access to the Meadow and Lake areas also becomes available and you will now be able to farm three types of crops: potatoes, daikons, and mushrooms, should you place crop patches. Additionally, you can set up a chicken coop to get eggs daily. You will be given $30,000 to use on the mainland for your trouble, plus a bonus of 200,000 Dokobucks.
