Key Attacks¶
Tail Sweep : The Green Nargacuga will swings its tail around its body and then some, covering three quarters of a circle around itself. It will remain facing the same direction.
Flip Slam : The Green Nargacuga replaces its head with its tail, slamming it down in the process. The Green Nargacuga may do this twice.
Wing Pounce : The Green Nargacugahops back and faces a side to the player before launching forward with its wing several times, covering a lot of ground.
Needle Shot : The Green Nargacuga holds its tail above its head, aimed at the hunter, and shoots a volley of needles straight towards them.
360 Sweep : The Green Nargacuga quickly spins on the spot with its tail outstretched, wiping out any hunters standing around it.
Recommended Strategy¶
The Green Nargacuga demands a very similar strategy to the Barioth thanks to their shared attacks.
This said the Green Nargacuga should be considered a greater threat when it is at range from the hunter due to its aimed needle shot, while its tail slam is a significant danger to any hunter attacking its head.
As such you’re recommended to move more than when tackling a Barioth and try to keep the cuga at arms reach - its tail can appear quickly if you just try and run straight at the beast.
Take full advantage of the Narga’s downtime between attacks (especially if it gets its tail stuck in the ground from a tail slam) to run close to it and hit it, preferably under its belly and use Flash Bombs to stun him regularly.
The Green Nargacuga’s tail is its biggest danger thanks to the addition of leaving hunters in a vulnerable state. therefore it’s more important than ever to either keep the Narga far away, or be under its belly and not near its tail.
