This page explains what Crimes of Opportunity are in Saints Row (2022), including how to find and complete Crimes of Opportunity.
How to Start Crimes of Opportunity in Saints Row¶
You’re not the only criminal in Santo Ileso, and as the saying goes, there’s no honor among thieves. You’ll know a Crime of Opportunity is nearby when you spot a white money bag icon on your map, which indicates that one of these randomly spawning, repeatable events can be exploited. If you neglect a Crime of Opportunity and end up too far away, it will despawn, but since these are random, recurring events, you need not fuss over missed opportunities too much… pun intended.
These events are fairly prevalent in the Panteros-controlled regions along the southeastern end of Santo Ileso (Smelterville East, Smelterville West, East Providencia, West Providencia, Mercado regions).
How to Complete Crimes of Opportunity in Saints Row¶
Crimes of Opportunities usually involve a small group of unaffiliated ne’er-do-wells hovering over the object of some crime - somebody they’ve mugged, some stolen goods, etc. Your goal is simple; gun your rivals down and claim their score for yourself. Since your enemies are usually unaffiliated, there’s not much risk of this escalating into something dangerous, although nearby police and rival gang members may be provoked by the violence.
Once you’ve liberated whatever plunder the criminals had misappropriated you’ll complete the Crime of Opportunity event. Completing Crimes of Opportunity will reward you with $500 and 300 XP, in addition to whatever else your victims dropped.
