Information about Hidden History Discoveries in Saints Row, including how to find and complete Hidden Histories and the rewards you’ll gain for doing so.
What Are Hidden Histories in Saints Row?¶
Hidden Historys are a type of Discovery in Saints Row, an optional, freeform, open world activity that typically rewards you with cash and XP when you complete it. Hidden Historys, unlike Armored Truck events and Crimes of Opportunity count towards the completion of a region’s Discoveries when completed, and while this won’t increase the passive income generated by any Ventures in that region like completing Threats will, it does count towards various achievments/trophies that task you with conquering various regions.
How to Find and Complete Hidden Histories¶
Hidden Histories are perhaps the most involved Discoveries in Saints Row, requiring you to head to the icon marking their location, upon which a search area will appear. Within the confines of this search area are five signs you’ll need to locate and activate, one of which is a larger, vertical board while the other four are smaller, angled signs. Interact with them and you’ll be treated to the location’s history courtesy of the Kavanagh County Park Service.
Basically scavenger hunts, just keep in mind that these are supposed to be vapid tourist traps, so most of the signs you need to find will be near some relevant object of interest, and won’t be somewhere your average pedestrian couldn’t reach - you shouldn’t usually need to climb or jump to get these, nor should you expect to find them on rooftops or in other out-of-the-way places. Your reward for completing these Discoveries is a fairly paltry amount of XP and cash… at least for the amount of running around and searching you often have to do.
