You will come across a lot of content in Sea of Stars, including various optional things. If you fully explore most locations, you will likely uncover this optional content, like the Mr. Chest minigame in the Port Town of Brisk. This page will delve into this minigame, its location, and tips on how to win at it.
Where to Find the Mr. Chest Minigame in Sea of Stars¶
This particular minigame is located in the Port Town of Brisk, a location you can visit a little ways into the main story. You actually come here in search of a boat, and it will be after going through the Coral Cascades location. When you first arrive in Brisk, you will have to do a little bit of a story sequence before you get to fully explore the town, so make sure you do that first. Once you have and all of the signs are removed, then you will be able to do the minigame.
To start, find the save point by the shops in the town. If you follow the docks, you will come across the shops, and the save point will be just to the left of them. From there, head northwest and look for a set of stairs. Go up them and keep heading north, until you find an open door, so head inside to find Mr. Chest and his minigame waiting for you.
The minigame is very simple, as you will see three chests in front of you. After paying Mr. Chest 5G, you will be able to open one of the chests. If you see 10G, then you will win the grand prize. If the chest is empty or you only see 2G, then you will lose and have to try again. There’s really no trick to this minigame, either, as it’s all completely random. That means you will probably want to save your game first, before trying it out. If you fail too much and lose all your money, then you can simply reload your save to try again.
So, why would you want to do this minigame then? Well, if you guess correctly and get the 10G a total of five times, then Mr. Chest will reward you with a Rainbow Conch. This is a collectible item that is needed for many things, so you will definitely want it. Note that the five wins don’t have to be in a row, so don’t worry if you fail in between those wins. You will still be able to play the minigame after getting the Rainbow Conch, but there is really no incentive to do so, as you won’t get anything else.
