You’ve finally beaten the final boss in Sea of Stars and watched the ending, as well as the very long credits. However, upon reaching the very end of those credits, you see that the game kind of alludes to there being more. That’s because there is more, as the game has another ending for you to witness, although you will have to work for it. One of the final scenes shows a series of stones at the Moorlands, which is something you might have seen when going through there. This page will tell you what you need to do to witness the True Ending.
This series of stones will keep track of the true ending requirements.
How to Get the True Ending in Sea of Stars¶
If you head to those series of stones in the Moorlands, you might notice that some of them are already lit. That means you have successfully fulfilled the requirements of that particular stone. There’s a total of seven requirements needed to get the True Ending, which are as follows:
- Complete the main story
- All 60 Rainbow Conches (and turn them into Mirna)
- Complete the Sunken Docarria Ruins
- Complete the Solstice Shrines
- Complete the Dwellers Fell Arena
- Complete the Romaya’s Secret Passage side quest
- Complete The Queen That Was side quest

As you can see from the list above, this is something that could be completed towards the end of your first playthrough, provided you actually did everything end. You still couldn’t access the True Ending then, though, since you actually do need to clear the main story first. That’s because doing that is one of the triggers to activating those stones at the Moorlands. Once you have finished everything listed above, head to the Moorlands and interact with the main stone there. Offer up the only item you can and watch the following scenes.
Stillpond Island Walkthrough - Sea of Stars¶
Once you have control, speak to Garl at the campfire a few times, until he gives you the Hook of Time. With this hand, you can now head to Stillpond Island, which is located in the southern half of the world map, in the Home World. You might have come here when you first got your boat, but were confused that you couldn’t do anything. That’s because the island is part of the True Ending. Once you have the Hook of Time, cast your fishing line into the water, north of the obvious large object that is underneath the water. As you reel in your line, it should catch on the object and reveal a hidden entrance.

Enter the previously sunken dungeon and make your way to the first room with enemies. The door to the north is locked, so head into the water below it to find a whirlpool. This whirlpool will take you to another room, where you’ll find a chest that contains the Fishing Dungeon Key. However, some enemies will jump onto the platform upon opening the chest, so clear them out and return to the previous room. Open the locked door with your key to reach another fishing spot.
You should notice that one of the fish is shining in this pond. However, no matter what you do, trying to hook it with your fishing rod will not make it bite. The thing to do here is jump in the water and collect it with your hands, which will net you the Fish Key. Go up the stairs and use that key on the fish sculpture to continue in the dungeon.

In the next room, ignore the enemies and you will come to yet another fishing lake, only this one has a very large shadow. Treat this just like any other fishing attempt and reel in the big catch. It turns out this big fish is actually Chef Bass, who is the chef at the Golden Pelican in Brisk. After the cutscene is over, you will have the Gilded Invitation, the one item you need to get into the Golden Pelican.
How to Get Into the Golden Pelican in Sea of Stars¶
With the Gilded Invitation, you should now have everything you need to get into the Golden Pelican. Make your way to Brisk and go to the fountain in the northern end of the town. Take the stairs to your left and the Golden Pelican entrance will be to the north. Thanks to your special invite, you will now be allowed into the place. After a lengthy cutscene, you will obtain Recipe: Legendary Feast and Question Pack #11, as well as unlock the Wholesome Food trophy/achievement.
The only thing left after this is to head back to Fleshmancer’s Lair and tackle the True Ending Boss, which is going to be different than the normal final boss you faced previously.
