You will visit many different locations in Sea of Stars, and as you explore these places, you will come across many treasure chests. It’s always a good idea to open the chests that you find since you can obtain new equipment or even key items that might be used later. This page will detail the locations of every chest you can find in the Coral Cascades area of the game. There is a total of seven chests to be found in Coral Cascades, and you can get them all on your first visit.
Treasure Chest 1¶
The first chest is cleverly hidden, and it’s quite easy to miss it. At the beginning of the area, you will drop down a waterfall and land in some water, with a save point nearby. If you look behind the waterfall next to that save point, you should see a chest there. Open it up for a Pirate Garb.
Treasure Chest 2¶
As you continue through the area, you will get into your first fight and right after that, there will be a split in the path to take. Drop down the right waterfall at this spot to find a little area with a chest on the right side. You won’t be able to access it at that spot, but there is a fan contraption not too far from it. Use your Mistral Bracelet on the fan to cause the chest to launch into the air, and onto the land, allowing you to open it for a Rainbow Conch.
Treasure Chest 3¶
Right after the second chest, you will drop down into the next area, where you will see a vine to climb on the left. Ignore that and head behind the middle waterfall for a hidden path. While back here, you can go behind the land on your left, which will lead you to a spot with another chest, that contains 50G.
Treasure Chest 4¶
Climb the vines mentioned in the third chest and drop off to the left, where you will come to a strong current that pulls you to the west. While in this current, stick to the northern end and you will eventually see another set of vines. Go up these vines and head to the northern end to find a basket, with a Mooncradle Fish Pie inside it.
Treasure Chest 5¶
As you make your way through the area, you will go through that strong current and down a waterfall, with your characters falling into a large hole. After exiting from it, immediately look south and climb on the ledge. This path will take you to that large hole again and if you look closely, you should spot another fan here. Give it a little wind from your Mistral Bracelet and a chest will pop out of the large hole. Open it for 2x Obsidian Ore.
Treasure Chest 6¶
This chest is a little confusing out of context, but it’s an important one. After the previous chest, drop back down the hole and climb out of the water to your left. You should see the chest to your south, but you won’t be able to reach it from this spot. Drop down the next waterfall, then look to your north to spy a geyser. If you haven’t been using these here, just hit the button when you see the arrow on them to be launched upwards, likely to another area. If you ever backtrack through the Coral Cascades, you will be using the geysers.
Use that geyser mentioned above to launch yourself up to the one path you couldn’t reach with the strong current. Head east while up here, where you will come to a ledge. Jump off of here and you will crash through the ground below, landing in some water that allows you access to the chest. Open it up for a Rainbow Conch.
Treasure Chest 7¶
The final chest here is hidden behind another waterfall, although it’s much easier to access. Once you reach the trio of waterfalls just past the geyser you took to get to the previous chest, you will reach the bottom of the Coral Cascades. It doesn’t matter which waterfall you take, though, as it all leads to the same spot. However, hidden behind the center waterfall will be a basket, so open it up for a Chaudree.
