Once you’ve finished the mission The Fate of the Skaal , wait a couple of days and then look for Fanari Strong-Voice speaking to a couple of other villagers about the blacksmith who’s gone missing. Have a chat to Deor and he’ll give you a clue to follow.

Find Baldor¶

Your next destination is a hut called the Abandoned Lodge that can be found part-way up the mountain range North of Raven Rock . Take care of the soldiers guarding the hut and loot them for items and the door key. Make your way downstairs to the basement and speak to Baldor.

Retrieve the Map¶

Your next port of call is a very long trek if you haven’t been to the very North of the map yet, so fast travel to Northshore Landing or begin your trek on foot to the North center part of the map. Once you arrive there you’ll meet up with a soldier known as Ancarion . You can either kill him and all his guards, or, speak to him and either persuade, intimidate or deal with him if your speech levels are high enough.

How you proceed is entirely up to you, each have pro’s and con’s and will likely depend on your character skill-set and/or mood at the time. Once you’ve got the map, proceed back to Baldor who’ll now be back at the Skaal village.
