After finishing the Footfall section of the story in Chapter 2 of Rogue Trader, you can start exploring the Koronus Expanse. During your travels, you can travel to the Trinnitos system, which is situated north of Aviorus and south of Telikos Epsilon. Inside Trinnitos, head over to the planet on the west side and scan it to find Foulstone. Now that you’ve found it, you’ll need to choose the correct dialogue option to unlock it as a colony. Note, depending on your choices, you can miss this colony, so read on to find out exactly how you unlock the Foulstone Colony in Rogue Trader.
How to Unlock the Foulstone Colony - Rogue Trader¶
Once you find the planet where Foulstone resides, select the unexplored marker “Monastery of the Order of the Hammer”, and Vox Master Vigdis will speak to you. Go through the dialogue and select option one or two when asked for your protection. If you select the third option, you won’t be able to unlock the colony. However, the other two options will open up a book sequence where you’ll need to make a series of choices to get the colony. Go through the book sequence until you get five options and select either the Dogmatic (2) or Iconoclast (3) choice, and Foulstone will open up to you as a colony. Unfortunately, playing the Heretical conviction will lock you out of this colony, but you will get +5 Holy Gifts, +3 Profit Factor, The Hammer of Epiphany, and +5 Heretical. Note, that choosing the first option will give you a little more lore regarding the situation, while the fifth option will also lock you out of the colony.
