Starting the Walking the Graves Quest¶

Once you’ve completed the Shades of Blight Main Quest, speak with Emmrich at the Laboratory of the Lighthouse to get this quest underway. He needs to perform some rites to honor the dead, so fast travel over to the Necropolis Halls and make your way over to Vault of the Beloved which is reached by taking the northeast path out of the Hollow Belfry, Lower.

Perform Rites with Emmrich¶

This is a fairly straightforward side quest, as all you’ll need to do is simply follow Emmrich through The Memorial Gardens while lighting various candles to honor the dead and learn more about their past. Throughout the ceremony you’ll be given dialogue choices, but they don’t have any effect on the story or your relationship with Emmrich, so we recommend that you select your choice from a roleplaying stand point.

After you’ve lit the sixth and final candle, use Emmrich’s ability to interact with the bell directly next to it to summon the spirits. Speak with the spirits and they’ll praise you for your work.

Walking the Graves Quest Rewards¶

Speak with the spirits and then interact with the bell once more to bring the rite to its conclusion and trigger a cutscene. Following the cutscene, the quest will come to a close and you’ll be rewarded with 500 XP, Metal-Plate Focus and Emmrich Bond Increase.
