Other Controls¶
Soft reset : Press L + R + SELECT / START at the same time to instantly reset the game.
Speeding up : Pressing A while holding Down speeds up the dialogue.
Skipping : Press START / SELECT to skip all manners of things, even the enemy turn, battle animations and cutscenes.
Battle animations : Hold L before committing to fighting an enemy and then begin the battle to toggle battle animations off if they were set to “On” and vice versa.
Touch Screen: Its use changes a lot! But on maps, you can select to either view a character profile, a map, etc. In battle scenes, you can pause, change angles, etc.
Battle Scenes: Assuming you left Battle Scenes “On” or “Custom” in the menu, you can control various things during the battle, mostly just cinematic effects rather than any outcome.
You can hold down A to forward the battle, or push START to skip it. The buttons on the bottom screen allow you to change the angle as well as pause the battle. A lot of effort was put into being able to enjoy the battle scenes more so.
