Strategies for all Difficulties¶
You will have a choice which side to side with. The Riders of Dawn (Green), implied by the title, are mostly mounted units. They’ll have trouble moving around the woods as is, but overall are more balanced than the other team.
The Stonewall Knights (Red) are mostly defense high generals. They are also the ones that have Yarne, who you will need to recruit.
Siding with neither is the best experience wise, but will make the map difficult in the sense that you are fighting twice the load. Siding with one side will earn you about 500 G per unit killed, while siding with neither side will yield you 10,000 G upon completion. (This is in addition to the two Bullion (M)’s you receive from each boss).
It may be best to side with neither. Experience and money. There are many more units that will appear on the map for whatever team you are fighting.
Assuming you side with neither, a very steady defensive formation using the terrain is best; sending Chrom or Panne on a side to get Yarne before he gets bested by the Riders of Dawn. After this, you can retreat them back to join the defensive formation. The Stonewall Knights are easier to fight, especially if you have speedy units.
Yarne will attack you, so you may be best off luring him (un-equip a weapon and put a strong unit there that can evade or not get hurt by the enemy attacks), get him close, and speak to him. Also note that if you fight both, they will both side against you. They will not continue to attack one another.
