Strategies for all Difficulties¶
There are 50 enemies on this map – including the boss. The enemies all have forged weapons, and the boss, Priam, has pretty high stats and deadly skills plus the infinite use Ragnell. This may be the toughest battle – makes sense for the last of the SpotPass missions.
You get to bring 30 units to compensate – but there is no need to bring all 30 units if you only have a few good ones.
Though, if you have exactly 15 great units, you can bring an additional 15 to pair up with them and boost their stats as you see fit. Regardless, do not bring anyone who you fear will easily fall after a blow or two from the enemy.
To recruit Priam, all you have to do is finish the chapter. That’s all there is to it.
The general strategy is a defensive one. As the enemy comes to you, you may want to rush to the center of the map with the walled area to create choke points and deal with the enemy that way.
By doing this, you can protect healers by putting them on the interior (if they have Physic staves, they will be literal life savers, as they won’t have to move). Put your strongest units at the choke points and rain ranged attacks from behind them.
The problem with the above strategy is that it requires being able to rush to the center by Turn 2, as the entire enemy army (including the boss) moves towards you.
There are Generals on the left and Warriors on the right that do their rallying cries to boost units more so. Be wary of this, as well as the magic that follows up behind them – making you face heavy physical and magic offense/defense.
There are no flying or mounted units, however, so the general enemy movement range is lower than usual.
Alternatively, you can spend the first time setting up a defensive formation that takes advantage of supports and linger around the bottom of the map rather than rushing to the enemy as they are to you.
The enemy group has a tendency to come down the middle in two groups. The Warriors on the right of the wall, the Generals on the left. If you are swift enough, you can deal with the right group then aim left and deal with that group.
The rest of the battle relies on how well you trained your units – and using everything you know to win the level as you have to defeat every last enemy to win. There are no reinforcements.
Congrats on completing the final SpotPass map!
