This is everything you need to know about how to find and complete the Devil’s Grasp Rebel Camp in Horizon Forbidden West.
How to Find the Devil’s Grasp Rebel Camp¶
The Devil’s Grasp Rebel Camp is down in the southwest corner of The Stillsands. You can find it amongst the ruins of an old Machine, and the quest will pop up as you approach. It shouldn’t be difficult to locate.

How to Defeat the Devil’s Grasp Rebel Camp¶
You’ll have two main objectives: find and kill the Rebel Leader (mandatory) and kill the Rebel Soldiers (optional). As with the other Rebel locations, you can choose a stealth approach or to go in all guns blazing.
Access the Camp¶
As you approach the camp, there are two Rebels guarding the entrance and one above it. If you want to go in and go ahead and start fighting, your path is clear: walk up and kill them. If you choose the stealth option, you can walk around the left side of the camp to sneak in.
You’ll still have to take out the Rebel above the entrance, but you can do this with a headshot which won’t alert the others.
Locate and Kill the Leader¶
There’s a crank that will open another gate where you can access the back of the camp. Keep scanning soldiers until you find the Rebel Leader, and you can track him with your Focus to keep a better eye on him.
It’s much harder to stealth this part, so you may need to start fighting. It shouldn’t be too much of a challenge to take them out if you’re above the recommended level but if you’re slightly under, be careful and take as many out one at a time with headshots as you can.
It turns out that the Rebel Leader is a Sons of Prometheus Sniper. Killing him and looting the body will unlock the errand Sons of Prometheus Data. Scan the area with your Focus and highlight the clues that pop up in purple, then Aloy will decide that she should destroy the overriding equipment in the camp.
The marker will lead you to the device, which you can then push R1 to disable it.
Then, it’s your choice if you want to leave or clear out the rest of the Rebels. If you’ve already killed them, leave the area and the quest will be complete. If you haven’t, leaving the area will have Aloy remark that the Rebel Soldiers will now abandon the camp and the quest will be complete anyway too.
If you choose to clear out the rest of the Soldiers, then you won’t have to worry about them later — but, like most of the Rebel locations, it’s not a mandatory objective and will immediately disappear as you run away.
