The main stories of the Like A Dragon games are pretty serious, in terms of tone. If you’re looking for more outlandish stories, then you need to look no further than the sidequests in these games, called Substories. You’ll find a list of all the Substories in Chapter 5 on this page.

Where to Find All Substories in Chapter 5¶
The Substories in Chapter 5 will be split into two different groups, those you can do right away, then another group that you can do a little later. The later ones will become available after you meet Yamazaki in the main story, which happens after visiting the Shinsengumi HQ at the beginning of the chapter.
All Chapter 5 Substories in Rakunai¶
These are all of the Substories you will find in Rakunai, during Chapter 5. Enter the Black Panther Couriers and The Panthers’ Leading Man both require you to finish the Substory before it, for them for become available.

For The Panthers’ Playmaker, you will need to complete The Panthers’ Leading Man first, then head to your second home (the one with your farm). As you approach the door to the house, you will start this Substory, with the NPC being found in Rakugai to actually do the quest.

All Miscellaneous Chapter 5 Substories¶
This category is because there’s one Substory that doesn’t belong to a specific location, as it begins at your house (Another Life one). Before you can get it to appear, you have to cook at least 10 meals (doesn’t have to different ones) at your house. Once you’ve done that, just go inside your home and the Substory will start.

These are all of the Substories you will find in Fushimi, during Chapter 5. Last Stand of the Panthers is the final substory in the Black Panther line, so you need to complete all of the other ones before this will become available.
