This page offers an overview of all new characters in Pokémon Legends: ARCEUS.
Akari or Rei¶
Your goal is to meet all Pokémon in the Hisui Region and complete the first ever Pokédex, and you’ll have a companion to help you out!
At the beginning, you’ll get to choose from two appearances, and whichever one you choose will determine whether your companion is Akari or Rei.

Professor Laventon¶
Professor Laventon conducts research into Pokémon and is the one who asks for your help in creating a complete Pokédex by catching and studying Pokémon.

Commander Kamado¶
Commander Kamado is the boss of the Galaxy Expedition Team (Galaxy Team). The Galaxy Team can be found at Jubilife Village. You’ll become a member of the Galaxy Team and help them in their research.

Captain Cyllene¶
Captain Cyllene is the leader of the Galaxy Team’s Survey Corps.

Mai¶
Mai takes care of a Wyrdeer found in the Obsidian Fieldlands. Her Partner Pokémon is a 
Munchlax.

Iscan¶
Iscan lives near the sea and cares for a Basculegion. He doesn’t like Ghost-type Pokémon.

The Diamond and the Pearl Clan¶
The Hisui Region is home to the Diamond and Pearl Clan - both clans serve a certain Pokémon, who they call Noble Pokémon.
Adaman and Irida¶
Adaman is the leader of the Diamond Clan and has a 
Leafeon as his partner Pokémon. He and the leader of the Pearl Clan, Irida, are at odds with each other. Irida has a 
Glaceon partner Pokémon.

Arezu and Lian¶
Arezu is the warden of the Diamond Clan and Lian is the warden of the Pearl Clan. Warden Lian serves Kleavor, the Noble Pokémon in the Obsidian Fieldlands, and Warden Arezu serves a mysterious Lady Pokémon (Pokémon identity unconfirmed).

The Ginkgo Guild Merchants: Ginter and Volo¶
Ginter is the head of the Ginkgo Guild. He can sell ou rare and special items to help you in your exploration of the Hisui Region. Volo is a Merchant for The Ginkgo Guild and will also sell you some valuable items.
