Once you’ve completed the prologue you’ll find yourself in the Black Wind Mountain. Make your way over to the left and interact with the head statue to obtain a Skandha of Form, then head right and take down the Bullguard. This is relatively simple as long as you wait out its attacks from a distance and then strike him when he takes a quick rest. Following the battle, head up the slope and look over to the right and rest at the first mediate spot, then go through the small gap in the wall in the opposite direction to find the Outside the Forest Shrine.
When you reach the fork in the path up ahead, head left and open the chest to obtain a Evil Repelling Medicament and some more Tiny Piece of Gold. Head across the bridge and go through the archway to challenge Guangzhi. Once you’ve defeated him, pick up the staff to obtain the Red Tides Spell and then interact with the bell at the back of the area. Now make your way back towards the bridge and head left and defeat the Wandering Wight to obtain the Cats Eyes Bead Curio, then follow the path down to reach the Guanyin Temple.

Rest at the Back Hills Shrine and then go down the stairs and enter the cave to begin the Horse Guai Quest, then continue following the path ahead until you reach the Snake Trail Shrine. From here look for a lake to the right of the path and drop down and defeat the Baw-Li-Guhh-Lange for its spirit.

Once you’re done upgrading, head further down the slope and defeat the Whiteclad Noble Boss Guide, then follow the path to the left and interact with the final bell to be transported to the Ancient Guanyin Temple.
