Black Myth: Wukong has several bosses and Captain Wise-Voice is the one exclusive to chapter 3. It can by working your way up to the top of the Pagoda Realm Prison. On this page, we’ll provide you with the necessary tips to beat him!

Captain Wise-Voice Boss Location¶

During the early stages of chapter 3 you’ll find yourself being transported to the Pagoda Realm Prison. Here you’ll need to work your way up to the top of the prison and then you can find Captain Wise-Voice in the room near the Mani Wheel Shrine. However, we recommend that you hunt and take down all eight Lantern Wardens before you face this boss otherwise you’ll miss out on the Auspicious Lantern Curio.

Captain Wise-Voice Boss Strategy¶

Before you attempt to challenge this boss we recommend that you’re at least level 45+ and have the Cloud Patterned Stone Staff and the Ochre Armor Set equipped which is obtained via the Yellow Wind Sage Boss. If you want to make the battle even easier, then you’ll want to make sure you have invested some upgrades in the A Pluck of Many, Cloud Step and Immobilize Spells. Additionally, you’ll want to craft some Tiger Subduing Pellets (Increases Damage) and Shock-Quelling Powder (Removes Shock State).

The most challenging part of this battle is dealing with the camera angles as the boss is quite large and it’s in a relatively small room, so we recommend keeping locked on to have an easier time tracking the boss. You’ll want to focus on attacking the boss’s legs until it falls to the ground and then throw your most powerful spells and combos at his head and then just before it’s about to get back up quickly use Immobilize to give you more time to deal maximum damage. Disco Ball¶

Captain Wise-Voice will unleash multiple beams of lightning at the beginning of the battle, so you’ll want to stick to one area of the battlefield to try and avoid as many of them as possible. If you do get hit, then quickly heal up before engaging the boss.

Electro Beam¶

Throughout the battle Captain Wise-Voice will unleash a large beam of lightning in a line directly in front of him and you can avoid this by simply moving to the side. You can also use this opportunity to rush and get a few hits in.

Electro Storm¶

If you’re standing too close to Captain Wise-Voice for a while, then multiple circle AoE’s will be placed on the floor and multiple explosions will occur, so you’ll want to quickly retreat.

Electro Shockwave¶

Captain Wise-Voice will stomp its feet into the ground which will unleash a shockwave of electricity throughout the arena. The easiest way to avoid it is by keeping your distance and jumping just before the shockwave reaches you.

Electro Floor¶

During the second half of the battle Captain Wise-Voice will cause the entire floor to become electrified. Unfortunately, this isn’t really avoidable, so you’ll want to keep rolling through and hope you pull off a precise dodge.

Aerial Dive¶

Once you’ve got Captain Wise-Voice to around 50% HP, it’ll start to jump up into the air and then attempt to land on your location and grab you to deal a heavy hitting attack, so you’ll want to quickly create some distance.
